  • On July 4, 1854, Elder Orson Hyde delivered an address in the Tabernacle in Salt Lake City titled, Celebration of the Fourth of July. In the address, he calls the resurrected Angel Moroni “Prince of America” and tells how he guided Columbus on his voyage, was in the camp of General Washington, as well as revealing the history of the early inhabitants of this country to Joseph Smith. It would be AMAZING if you could do artwork featuring the Resurrected Moroni in 3 different scenes (within one work of art) directing the will of God through Admiral Columbus, General Washington, and the Prophet Joseph.

  • Jacob and Esau Genesis 25:29–34
Job’s property and children are destroyed, and yet he praises and blesses the Lord. Job 1
Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign 2 kings 22
Joshua sends spies to Jericho—They are received and concealed by Rahab Joshua 2

  • Since it’s our course of study this year, it would be nice to have more Old Testament heroes, starting with Adam and Eve.

  • Excited for your 2022 OT works. Here are some of my ideas:

    - Samson
    - Jacob wrestling an angel
    - Gideon
    - Job
    - Abraham

Joshua 2:1 And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into an harlot’s house, named RAHAB, and lodged there. 2:3-6 And the king of Jericho sent unto RAHAB, saying, bring forth the men that are come to thee, which are entered into thine house: for they be come to search out all the country. 2:4 And the woman took the two men, and hid them, and said thus, There came men unto me, but I wist not whence they were: 2:5 And it came to pass about the time of shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that the men went out: wither the men went I wot not: pursue after them quickly; for ye shall overtake them. 2:6 But she had brought them up to the roof of the house, and hid them with the stalks of flax, which she had laid in order upon the roof. 2:15 Then she let them down by a cord through the window 2:16 And she said unto them, Get you to the mountain, lest the pursuers be returned: and afterward may ye go your way.

I admire RAHAB for her courage to do what was right even though putting her life and her family’s lives in danger.
